Everything in the guides, method pages, templates and tools on this site is written and edited by the people who build Ommio.
We publish under a team byline rather than invented personal ones. Ommio is a small independent team based in İstanbul, and it would be dishonest to dress that up as a masthead of specialist authors. When a page is written by someone whose name is worth knowing, we will put their name on it.
Building planning software. Ommio is a task, habit and focus app, on the App Store since 2026, shipping in seventeen languages. Most of what we write about comes from decisions we had to make in the product: how a streak should behave when someone misses a day, what a shared task needs before two people will both use it, why a reminder gets ignored.
Reading the literature carefully. We cite primary sources — the study, not the blog post about the study — and we say when a widely repeated claim has weaker support than its popularity suggests. Two examples on this site: the 42% written-goals statistic comes from an unpublished conference presentation, and the founding experiment in social facilitation did not actually reach significance when it was reanalysed.
Talking to the people who use it. Where a page describes how a particular group works — students, shift workers, people with ADHD — we quote people from that group rather than generalising about them.
We are not clinicians. Nothing here is medical or psychological advice. Pages that touch ADHD, anxiety or sleep describe planning practices, not treatment, and say so.
We are not neutral about our own product. Ommio is a commercial app and these pages exist partly to bring people to it. Our answer to that conflict is not to pretend it does not exist: comparison pages state where a competitor is better, and method pages tell you when the method — including ours — is the wrong tool.
We are not first-hand experts in every topic we cover. Where we are relaying research rather than experience, the page says so and links to the source so you can check us.
If something here is wrong, tell us and we will fix it and note the change. Contact us. Corrections to factual errors are made within the page, dated, and never quietly.
